Algonquin Tea Company Design, layout and photography on this site is by Beth Kennedy. The client came to BMA because this site had been hacked, and infected with a malicious code which redirected viewers to unsavory websites. In addition, over 70% of hits were coming from a few automated hacker-bots seeking further vulnerabilities, which was overburdening the server. The site was moved from GoDaddy, a server with known security problems, and rebuilt from scratch on a server with a dedicated RAM allocation to prevent overloading. Details of security measures I implement on all sites can be seen here. At the same time inconsistencies in posts and pages were rectified and the archiving of posts was optimized. A “find a store near you” function was installed. The site is backed up regularly (as are all our sites) in case it should ever be compromised. The above mentioned security features are included in every website we create.
